Problem with mc is that he is unrelatable in most good stories people want to place themselves in the mc's shoes. However that is impossible for most people to do with this mc. I personally hope he changes personality soon.

I think author doesn't understand the psychology of human. When human, is in danger he/she will push the survival instinct to the limit. Human adaptability is scary that why human is in the top of food chain in earth. Moreover MC right now is Dragon with human soul. Dragon potential is surpassed human. MC described as ordinary human with ordinary live and stuff but why he is so pathetic. Ordinary human no matter failure they are they would not as pathetic as MC right now. Please the MC right now is comparable to coward and low survive ability Jap NEET OTAKU not former ORDINARY human.

I don't understand why everyone is hating this. It's like they think they would do so much better than him. If you want to see if you would do better go to a life or death situation with two lives on the line you would end up over thinking it too. And people saying he should have left the girl/killed the girl you would kill the person who saved you life? Who showed you companion ship? If so your more heartless than a zombie who eats anything moving including its own family. And I know its not the best but this isn't the actual story(I hope) because this is a copy paste of another novel(which is bad). I had an entire message written to explain my self then my phone decided to be a piece of **** and delete it. So sry for the short version. Some people are smart,like you, and would've left the girl but others are not. Companion is from the trauma of a one-sided slaughter that would happen irl and people would cling to their savior. This is good and has a lot of potential too. The MC had some rather stupid decisions but hey everybody had those times. All in all great story.

Honestly, it seems that the author simply didn't know how to let go of the Dragon Egg Manga canon, after all, that's basically what happens in the Manga, but without Tiamat, and the author simply didn't have the creativity to create his own original scene that would fit better. , after all, Manga is extremely cliché and unrealistic, like most Japanese works of the same style...
