I hope you do know, that, as long as you do not own the rights to the works you use in your fanfiction, you are not allowed to make money off of them and can be legally sued should the original owners of said works decide to do so. You may receive freely given donations, or even use that system where readers can gain early access to pre-written chapters that you have stashed somewhere by paying a fee, because the general public will be able to read those chapters even if at a later date. But to only post a preview here and have the complete chapter on some other platform, I am not quite sure whether Webnovel itself is going to tolerate this. You should be careful with what you are doing. This could cause you more harm than it is worth in the long run.

Patreon exclusive after several hundred chapters, sure. It makes sense to be payed for ones work. But at least tell the readers instead of keeping us guessing with these short chapters. Unless I am missing something?

this is a good fanfic, and fanfic is supposedly a free read for everyone and not a patreon exclusive like any original novel. the author can make advance chaps for patreon and receive freely given donation on it. but not force the readers to donate on you're patreon, if any readers make a report on this on webnovel maybe just maybe... they will block you're acc. and you will have no platform to post you're work this is a fanfic not a original novel... sorry...

counted the last 3 chapters that was updated like today, the first chapter which was chap 292:291 is 586 words or so idk maybe i counted wrong but i could say that its only about 500+ words, for the second chapter that was released which is chapter 293:292 has only 416 words again maybe im wrong but i could say that it has only 400+ words. The last chapter that was released, this chapter 294:293 that im commenting has only 410 words again idk if im wrong but i could wholeheartedly say it has only about 400+ words. In conclusion maybe the author is splitting the 1 whole chapter into 2 or 3 parts as shown from how i counted all the words from the last 3 chapters. The pros in this type of strategy is that there will be constant release of chapters but only short ones hopefully while the cons in this strategy as i've said chapters are way shorter compared to last 2 arcs of this novel. So in other words, if you people still want to read, then pls just enjoy what is released, if not then just drop it and remove it from your library, don't undermine a novel like telling other new readers not to read it just because you people think its short and you won't enjoy it. This is fanfic yes, but its already comparable to some original novels out there released by webnovel when it comes to story development. Again, the author has the shots and we as readers are just there to read their works, nothing else.
