Why cant she be with him? Cause of corruption or cause she thinks that she is weak? Considered jake is also corrupted quite a lot that is no issue. If she fears that she gonna harm others that is a understandable response. But what she gonna do alone? Also in the chapter we have repetition of "lifes crumbeled" and "spiraled into chaos". I belive you can remove one of the lines or just unite them.
