My sincere compliments to the author for creating such controversial characters like Lu yan Sarah and ruby... it takes talent to make the readers want to punch the screen while reading lol. On a serious note ruby becoming the main female lead is very difficult to imagine imo... First of all their relationship is based on this soulmate thing imposed by the oracle which nobody trusts, especially Jake. Secondly Jake doesn't strike me as the forgiving one and can hold a grudge pretty well, for those saying that she's controlled by digestors... it doesn't matter at the end of the day her actions are still deserving of her death (preferably real death because she's gonna be a future threat)
for those praying ruby dies eventually, i think it's time to be realistic and accept that the novel is pretty trash on giving a deserved death to these villains. tell me who in jake's nemesis/enemy or those he personally hate so much, die? even that nawai ogre is still somewhat alive in hecates' lantern. so yeah novel is going downhill. the arc between 3rd and 4th ordeal was a total waste of time. this 4th ordeal has promise and I wish he at least "kills" Ruby in this ordeal. low probability tho
