It's so convenient that Evelyn only found out when it was too late. And that Claus never considered the portal at the academy when he was even able to forsee some of Ysnay's plot. This is lousy and lazy writing at its best. Full of plot holes and plot conveniences. Also I'm sure anyone with a bit of brains would have already guessed it was the old man. Just a waste of chapter.

Well I do sympathize with the guy but sympathy and understanding can be different depending on the situation, like right now! Dude you were tasked by the previous head who adopted you and raised you like his own child to protect and guard the portal, not to blindly chase power! Especially if its offered by the devil which in this case is the immortal literally is about to destroy your world!!! whats the use of that newly gained power if your gonna die afterwards angway?!!

The adrenaline is pumping for sure. Nice climax. I am still rooting for Ysnay's win though!

Not as big a fan of all this immortal Drama and conflict prefered it when it was just the mc being op and in control
