Chinese medicine seems to involve a lot of mysticism and pseudoscience which seems deeply seeded within Chinese customs and archaic beliefs. The comparison of TCM and WM has similarities to that of alchemy and science, both having similar roots with different developmental directions. Before the scientific method was fully fleshed out there were many different misconceptions recognized as true. That said, many of today’s medicines are derivatives of ancient prescriptions. You shouldn’t completely disregard historical concepts because of bias beliefs and narrow minded ignorance. I don’t think it’s really necessary to argue which is superior as the concept of traditional Chinese medicine simply fits better in a work of fiction and fantasy...
