I'm always confused by those who work in the retail industry who are rude to customers for no reason. I know they probably had a bad day but shouldn't they be happy if the customer is acting normally? Or is it the arrogance from their boss leaking into their mindset? Meh, I need to stop thinking.

oh well, the author is goddamn sadist. i knew I shouldn't have doubted how good the author would turn Brendan into, but author just had to stroke our emotions first before presenting us with the grand conclusion. anyway I have to admit I really disliked the journey, but I can only say I very much like the conclusion (to hell with that goddess).
