Author, I know you are on hiatus but please change to him telling the doctor that he just has a bad feeling that it could be the early sign of something and its better to be safe than sorry. Maybe have him makeup some history of heart problems in the family genes and say that is why he is having a cardiologist give his mother a check-up, not just because of the chest pains. Yoiu will have to write the mother not knowing her family's history mind you but I just think this chapter is very immersion breaking and not realistic when everything but the timetravel in the novel has been fairly realistic to the average joe at least.
