This is my point of view. I think it is Graham who has supernatural powers. The first day we saw him I think he collided with Louise willingly. He has a blink ability. He can appear where he wants when he want. Remember that day after they collided at the stairs, he appeared and disappeared in a blink something that Louise never noticed. At the Library too. He suddenly disappeared and appeared behind Louise. Again there was a shadow and crumbling of sheets in Louise bed which I have a feeling it was him. The same shadow appeared before Louise and he appeared after she tried to attack with a log. As for X labels in trees am confused. I don't think he would let her get drenched unless he is trying to teach he a lesson to never pass by forest at night.
Was she really lost or trapped? Graham’s company deals with wood & woodcutting...does that mean he knows the forest well? He’s soaking wet & seems annoyed which makes me think that he wasn’t hunting her or the one causing her to be lost?? What is going on??? Dare I share......I’m starting to form a theory (which will undoubtedly be wrong as Ash is renowned for twists) whereby this is a ghost story & something terrible happened to his first wife & it is her spirit that haunts his next wives & causes their deaths out of jealousy & possessiveness of Graham. Graham is somehow aware of the spirit. I’m probably crazily wrong, but its fun to predict. Has anyone else got any predictions? Thanks for the chapter Ash...I’ve noticed you release a chapter on a Tuesday so I have been checking all day!
this chapter was seriously giving me more anxiety than my exams!! I felt so many emotions reading this... but the most important thing is... I REALLY ENJOYED IT!! There is such a 'phenomenon' when you get lost in your frequently visited park with 3 trees. In my language we call it 'vadātājs' - evil spirit that deceives people, leads them on the wrong path, especially through the woods. For the most part they act as separate and independent mythological beings. And it's real.
