Twelve-Winged Dark Seraphim
Just having a strong Companion Beast is not enough, despite what the netizens of the world think. I'm referring to the ones in the novel. How they act is also important. The Tiger Soul General is very reckless and will rush towards danger. Demonic Neonate refuses to attack until there's an opportunity. Also Truth Listener is hard to control.
It's certainly true that most Companion Beasts are fairly unintelligent. It's even remarked upon a bit that some perform worse than the dimensional creatures they came from. Evolvables, or mythicals, tend to be more intelligent and not as obedient. The Tiger Soul General was always weird even before becoming evolvable, but that's probably due to the Mysterious Phone's fusion powers.
toothbrushmocc:Zhou Wen's higher tier companion beasts don't seem to behave like normal; I don't think most of the viewers realize that. Normal companion beasts are supposed to be 100% obedient to their summoner, acting like another limb; they shouldn't have the capacity to surprise their summoner (whether good or bad). It's a bit of a stretch, but I think of them comparable to swords or guns. Anyone can hold an unbreakable, invincible sword, but it's only as strong as the wielder. In terms of personal power, improving the body, whether pure human or mythical serum, seems to be the only comparable method to the alien races. Guardians and representative contracts have their own agenda, so those are the worst options for personal control (but highest growth ceiling). I agree with what you said. I'm just trying to understand where the viewers are coming from since Zhou Wen didn't lift a finger to clear the palaces but they're praising him over the moon XD
