Hmmm this new character seems suspicious

so his dad, mum and grandpa know that the "step" sister, mother and bio dad are scum. but he doesn't? No matter how much you don't get on with your wife and how efficient a worker she is, how in the heck could you keep her employed? especially since she has tried to make a move on you. so far, had no problems with him. however, this is a red flag. I know this is obviously going to be a big plot point, but still, ugh.
