our lucifer since Lucifer became the Devil because he wanted to become God.... and since Tyreal in this world wants to become the only God rank, it would've fit better
the author note says why Tyrael, but he is thinking of D3 Tyrael. I believe this was written based off of the D2 and Sin Wars Tyrael. before D3 was released.
