Seeing all the comments recently about how everyone thinks she is annoying and pitying him. Sorry but even after everything he is doing to make things up to her and all the effort he is putting in, that doesn’t erase everything he did to her the first time around out of ignorance. Time can heal wounds but the scar will always be there. There is too much history between them to just “start over”. Life and love don’t work like that. Everytime they get into an argument in the future he is going to feel guilty because of their first life and cave in, she is going to unconsciously attack him with their history everytime he hurts her again. Because of all the history they have together, having and equal balanced partnership is going to be difficult at best. Don’t bash her just because she is the type of person who remembers and cherishes the past. I have a friend who had a bad relationship with someone with a lot of history, they tried everything to make it work and they both put in a lot of effort before they decided it was best to end it. Me myself I was abused in boarding school and still can’t forget or forgive any of it. I understand where she is coming from.
