This is how should a man from way way way old era should act. I mean look, if you think yourself as the mc who only knew how to ignite a fire using a rock then suddenly received an immortality and after countless of years passed by you've seen all your love ones die by sickness or old age while you are still kicking alive. It's simply a curse and there are only very few which can relive yourself and one of them is slaughter, the smell of blood, the feeling of bloodlust, the sight of mangled and dead bodies everywhere will make you forget yourself and feel intoxicated by it if you wish to. And since he had been born in those era where people dies anytime and including how long he has been living for is enough for a man to be twisted in some way--perhaps even go insane luckily he has his 'family'. I bet if he was betrayed by his family i'm pretty sure he will go rampage killing everyone he'll see. So what he did is simple, I don't believe there would be a man who wouldn't be extremist and also twisted who has been living for so long that also includes for not having any opponent who can at least put up a fight so I don't think this is edgy but a very broken twisted guy.
