Yup. The japanese were total idiots to target the other asian countries instead of Australia. The biggest problem japan has always had was a lack of natural resources. Australia is exactly what they needed and would have most profited from had they chosen to invade it during ww2 instead of the other asian countries. Not only would they have easily been able to eliminate any opposition, the opposition numbers would have been much fewer in number... Even so. Had they not decised to attack America, then they would likely never have lost the rest of the asian peninsula either.
