I truly enjoy the author's entertaining craft! There is so much irony in both the word play between the names of characters, their roles and their interactions. The devil is getting caught in his own web, unintentionally thwarted by the effects of his own selfish motives and devilish rash actions. He is thwarted by the purity of Heaven after trying to manipulate her for his selfish gains. Zamiel, a "demon", acts honorably and teaches wisely by example after being freed, accepted and inspired by Heaven. Zarin embodies common characteristics of many who grow up self-absorbed, accustomed to a pampered life. Their lack of diverse exposure to economic striving while growing up leads to latent maturity. He didn't value the immeasurable love and friendship surrounding him until it was lost. His highly selfsh demeanor seems to have prevented his ability to learn from the wisdom his father tried to teach him while growing up. Zarin finally begins to reflect on those lessons forced by now having to work to regain the ethereal virtues of life. His new mentors lead him to replace the emptiness of his former material pursuits with spiritual values which will sustain him no matter what his material surroundings may be. Heaven inspires everyone both symbolically and in their physical reality to move towards the greater good (even if inadvertently).
Author...applause and a bow to your talent and skill to weave an immense load of emotions and detail into your story. Zamiel is so fascinating and yet so simple. He is definitely the antithesis of what Lothaire is (Represents) and has been doing. I love the play of contrast between Lothaire and Zamiel. They haven’t even met yet and there is so much unsaid dialogue happening. By far Zamiel has reached Zarin without as much as a few sentences here and there...
Good job Zemiel, for teaching Zarin what he can achieve without using his demon powers to influence others. Euphorin is helping Zarin by making him think about what he is feeling and what he wants. Zarin is unhappy he miss his family, with Euphorian’s help and Zemiel’’s kindness he is having doubts about his decision. Maybe there is hope for Zarin after all!
With just going through a day with Zamiel and Euphorion, Zarin has learned so much. Zamiel is employing the same technique he used with lewd old man as he is now doing with Zarin. However, Zarin has yet to make that connection. I also think Zamiel is hoping Lothaire is closely watching his interaction with Zarin and Euphorion and getting angrier by the minute.
When Zamiel first entered the scene I was apalled with his charcter. As the scenes unfolded and we got to learn his real self, depite being a demon, he became likable...slowly. Then, somehow...somewhere the author....must have possessed my own mind, because without being aware, I found I became his champion! 🤷♀️ That can only happen with great writing. This chapter was a favorite because it holds an inportant lesson in life....leading by example. Without using special powers or demon influence, he was able to show Zarin a different and more rewarding lifestyle. i can’t wait to read the next chapter. Absolutely spellbinding...without the use of magic....or....is our author really bewitching?!? ♥️🖤♥️
