I think the devil do love his son, him saying he wanted him dead is because he knew what he(Lucian) will go through in life and the enemies that will come after him. but that reason shouldn't be his reason to want him dead, I think u should have looked for a way to help n be involved in his life indirectly like sending his demon nephew to be with Lucian
