My last prediction that his demon side was dead, was wrong because he mentions his demon in this chapter. However, I now think he forgot Hazel because him figuring out who he is with break his mother’s spell and Hazel has already started to uncover who he is and gave him clues. so he needed to forget her in order to also forget what shw told him!
