Every decision has it's consequences. It's not MC fault that what he did made his family shun his mother to suicide. Besides future is always uncertain. Did MC was evil because he focused too much on cultivation? No! Because that second live perhaps would be maybe even worse. The wolf and the dog, the dog gave up his freedom in exchange for confort, the wolf instead refuses to give up it's freedom and faces the harshness of life. How you interpret it shows your character, is a golden chain still a chain? Is freedom worth our and our loved ones pain and sacrifices?

I don't know, but the way I see it, it only managed to make Noah angrier by showing him his mother again and that everything would have been nice if he would have stayed a weakling. He would have never been acknowledged and would have lived a life of servitude. His descendants would have become true heirs? Bull****!
