Why are you acting like hiccups are common when drunk.. or even required for him to appear drunk. This scene felt very cartoonish.

By the sound of it, the Shandal Empire will almost certainly intervene in the conflict between the noble families and the Royals. The only question is whether they'll use indirect plots and schemes or a full-blown invasion when both sides are weakened. Either way, MC needs to flee before the action starts, otherwise him and all the other "Demons" will become cannon fodder.
