I’m happy cause I knew it was coming, she was the love of his life but also a burden he couldn’t get rid of. But cosmic victor was right, that ancestor was extremely angry with his son, down right disappointed.

Yeah, I can't say I'm happy about it, however, I think it had to happen for the mc to move on with his life. If it had to be done, I think this way was a good way to do it. Showed just how strong and intelligent she was before ending things herself while also giving that di*k of a father something to remember.

The patriarch can react fast enough to get from the inner circle to the outer circle to defend it in time against a dragon/wyvern, but not in time to get into his useless sons room to stop him from doing something stupid. It was painful to read but I could tell from the beginning that death would be necessary for Noah's character growth. You captured the essence of a mother's love and willingness to do anything for their child beautifully. Well done!

Lily's death was the only way to ensure the continued growth and development of Noah and his abilities. With her still alive and tying him to the Belvan family Noah would end up stagnating as a character. Wonderfully timed!

I appreciated that she was at the very least proactive in her role. I have actually never seen a character refuse to be fridged so strongly that they kill themselves.

Rhys is just pure, unadulterated garbage. I think he's even more despicable because he does so much damage but he's so unremarkable. I'm looking forward to his gruesome death.
