Aye I dont really see anything demonic about his cultivation. He is an opportunistic guy sure. But I dont see him as evil or anything . Afterall he hasn't killed any innocents. That one guard mocking him and not giving in to his demands was just unfortunate, after all the guard didnt remember that he was living In a world that was feudal in nature and our MC was just doing things to fit in properly in that kind of a world. If he did have demonic cultivation, it would be something like making use of his opponents lifeforce for the benefit of his own cultivation and we haven't seen that yet. Hopefully he still keeps his morals intact and doesnt become evil and bloodthirsty later.
