Usually, I loathe the political sections of novels. To witness unsound logic being presented as the opposit, annoys me, and I’m sure everyone has more than their fair share of politics in the real world. Despite this, I find myself begrudgingly enjoying this smaller arc. It does not present the MC as an excellent wielder of the tongue and the mind, but willing states that, for lack of better words, he is quite stupid in anything revolving the political sphere. Rather, it slowly builds up a supporting force that handles the political aspect for him, a trend that will most likely follow as he focuses more so on all things combat. I am very excited to see how this story develops, and the eventual conclusions to Beam’s adventures.
