Jack is not a psychopath. He is not smart enough to be one. He is just a pathetic narcissistic greedy person. He is not complicated enough to be remotely interesting. It all boils down to two things: fear and cowardice. Lily was the one who made him. He was the one that cleared the way for him. Something that his father and himself could not do. All his life he had to live under the thumb of his stepmother and brother. He was nothing and it infuriated him. Then along came Lily who put him on a pedastal. Who made all his hidden hopes and dreams come true. Lily is his God and Hand of Midas and his lucky charm. Without her he results back to nothing and no one. He needs her to accomplish his goals and dreams because he realizes that he is nothing and he cannot handle being anything but all powerful. He is a sad pathetic man not to mention ungrateful and twisted.
