this is starting to confirm my theory that she is still connected to her "empress of spirits" title. as technically being a ruler of spirits makes you a ruler of nature partially.
Maybe whatever is draining the nutrients is affecting her too, like life or energy drain. Or maybe it's the tree draining her to replenish its empty storage
