I think all of them are queens cause queens are similar to mother figures and they can take care, protect and give birth. A king doesn’t really go well with that image. A race king sounds more like a tyrannical warmonger.

I wonder when someone close to Shiro will be killed off. Seems a bit morbid but sometimes it's needed for drama and it's basically guaranteed that at least one will go at some point. But who? That is indeed the question.
