Hello everyone I have an announcement to make, I'm starting my own novel yey. It's called What an Adventure, please check it out I only have one chapter up (it's just to help understand) I will post the chapter in about 10 minutes please check it out! MilkGod's Facts: A ball of glass will jump higher than a ball of rubber if thrown or dropped.
Okay, since it's been seven minutes (or more) since I noticed that MilkGod showed up, but he still hasn't posted a fact, I'll share one of my own, again, cat-themed (said whilst purring, as a way of saying "that last bit should be obvious"). This might go up after his, but oh well, I started it before he posted his. Cats can be trained out of their aversion towards their paws being touched, simply by slowly letting them experience it without anything bad happening. Ideally, this would start soon after they're born, around the time they start getting weaned, but it can be started later. It might be less effective, but it still could work. Start by just stroking the paws, no pressure at all, then, after they are fine with you doing so, progress to lightly squeezing the toes. VERY lightly at first, and then slowly put more force into it over the course of a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on their reaction. Eventually, you can press on their toes and make them extend the claw completely. This is effective enough that those who undergo this "training" would often be willing to let their claws be trimmed regularly, and some even enjoy it. As long as you don't snip the quick (the flesh inside and slightly under the claw. If you look for it, it's not hard to find). They might sorta forget that it's okay to let you touch their paws if you don't do much of anything with their paws for a month or so, but they'll remember quickly if you start from the basics and progress up as they seem comfortable with the level of contact you're giving their paws.
