*sigh* I don't know, it's probably because rubica still does not have a feeling for edgar but rubica is too much, yeah she is getting everything from edgar without knowing, she is using edgar more than she plan to without knowing because edgar love her and it sucks because she doesn't know it, i mean its fine but she slowly becaming like those type of character who is stupidly making every guys around her fall in love. I love rubica character at first but she is starting to became too oblivious, too idealistic given the fact that she is 70 year's olds by soul who has a lot of experience.
why she must respond to his feelings? she clearly say to him she love someone else, but he impose his will and force her to marry him. Any time he make an advance she doesn't respond positively and he use his speech to convince her in his will. I don't find her idealistic, she had see the conseguenze of this weapons and the war. I find more ipocrit him and his family who have the resources and have the intelligence, but don't develop any other business and create more lethal weapons and like a naive persone think this weapons will not be use to attacks his nation.
Well I understand what was needed in the past and all that, but in the story they made a point of other kjngdoms not selling wheat and food to their kingdom because they are so far away and they don't have any specialties ... why not just make some? Like the affordable soap that she mentioned before? Because of the large market that it would have they could probably sell it cheap but make up with volume to bring in money rather than solely focusing on selling luxury items, i.e. weapons. They could also work on ma y be making their non-fertile land ablw to sustain crops. You literally have a household of researchers, use them to your own benefit.
