Jedrek is a raggedy individual period. He knew thar the moon goddess was providing him a mate. He knew what it meant and so did Serafina. They both decided to move ahead with their relationship with that knowledge. Lilac gave them both an opportunity to be together and Serefina and Jedrek refused. We all have to take responsibility for our choices good and bad. Jedrek needs to burn the road up. He’s free to follow Serafina to the afterlife where they can be together in perpetuity. I hope Lilac ends up with a grand love worthy of her.
