Why the heck wouldn't he marry an abused woman? What's wrong with choosing to do so? If anything it points to a upstanding devide in where the MC's morals lay. Merciless judgement for his enemies, compassion for his family or those close to his family(which she was due to the grandfather basically adopting her). A quick word to the Author. Thank you for creating this interesting and wonderful story that is informative and brings life to a genre I love. The only negative is the grammar and the sentence structure, which I know you are working your hardest to fix and work on.

there is a bit of a problem. ancient ships such as these could not survive the open seas. this is one of the reasons that "Sea Monsters" came about. you would need to update the ships dexteritly to reach it.
