I'm afraid I cannot get into a story that starts with the protagonist commiting suicide. By giving up on everything, regardless of the circumstances, such a character has proven he or she lacks the resolve a good protagonist needs. Author should scrap this and start over.

Giving this book a chance... your bestie highly recommend it. So far so good!

how did Morris bring her and her family into “ destruction ?? ” this girl is spoiled to the core. everybody know business proposal means you’re literally marrying for business purposes and not love, so i cannot fathom why she cannot understand why Morris doesn’t love her. it’s bad that Morris didn’t communicate with her tho, but what i’m getting from this novel is that everything is Morris fault and not hers. i’m failing to like the female lead to be honest.

Though I do like second chance stories, truly not a fan of if the suicide trope. I know it's fiction but I've read of rants in the net where someone actually think this is a thing. That suicide is a viable option for second chances. 😞 Please, if you have such thoughts, reach out to someone.
