Wow, this is some really good writing. Weâve got such complex characters! First, we think Alister is an evil emperor but heâs just a sis-con trying to shield his precious sister from the complex politics surrounding the throne. Unfortunately, his overprotectiveness caused her to misunderstand him and be left in the dark, allowing her to be plotted against. We initially think Ara was a b*tch, but turns out she was just indifferent and misunderstood. Ryuu and Aki did judge Ara based on hearsay and rumors, but arenât we all guilty of that? Sadly, because they judged her wrongly, they thought the worst of her and didnât worry about her reputation or the accident. However, they were able to admit their wrongs and are now actively working to fix their mistakes. Itâs nice to see an author who can write characters that are more human. Theyâre not perfect, untouchable gods. They make mistakes. They feel remorse. Itâs a nice change from the âperfectâ type of characters often found in novels that seem to do no wrong.
