Your not wrong in saying our sun is white but blue and red stars are real. A stars colour indicates its temperature and mass. Blue giants are blue because light is energy and energy is emitted in the blue spectrum. Blue giants are the hottest hence they give of a lot of blue light. Then there are red giants. They’re red because they ran out of energy and cool down and expand etc. This is from memory but it should be something like that :3
