I really appreciate this chapter. We already know that the prince is a good person according to the characters in the novel, but the author really introduced him wonderfully where he isn't a bad guy. He notices mc's change and beauty, but he still loves his chosen empress regardless. This proves he isn't bad and his love for Li Zhilan is actually genuine. Also proves feelings aren't fickle in the sense that he wants to "possess" mc just for beauty. At this rate, I have high hopes that the prince and Li Zhilan's relationship won't change even if he knew he saved mc before. Thank you author!! đ Please keep this up. I think this is one of, if not is, one of my top Chinese historic reincarnation romances on this site.
