technically it is hard to convince people plus there selfishness so him saving the amount he already has if they can survive the plague is already pretty good.

Hmmm so far i love your work author and the world setting but kinda mc are the type i don't really like or get , he sound like he wanna be saviour of all when some that he is trying to save would surely turn on him or fight to take power from him. It ain't to be selfish and just secure what you can why bother going beyond that and make yourself suffer
