I wonder if Lith used one of his recording devices in order to collect all the evidence he needs to ensure that even if he doesn’t kill those two fools the royals do it for him. It seems his style, particularly with his promise of punishments for the guilty parties. I’m sure he has enough royal pardons to get away with an on the spot execution for both of them, with the potential of mitigating evidence to take things from outright murder to a simple slap on the wrist for taking the law into his own hands.
