I bet these 4 are undead. During liths last episode in derious he let his shadows run rampant and they killed all the undead in the city. These 4 either survived by chance or lost friends or thralls to his shadows in the city while they were elsewhere. They could also be random side characters or representatives of important groups like the awakened council or the kingdom or maybe even allies of dusk and his current partner. At least in the first case if a fight breaks out, which it seems likely it will, there probably won’t be major story repercussions.
I can already see haug having sirens going off in his head and is paying really close attention to what happens next I'm sure he is going to flatten anyone who tries to pick a fight with a walking disaster called lith. He can't afford to have lith attacking everyone again he would eventually have to ban lith from coming back and lith can't blame him because of the amount of destruction that he causes unintentionally its bad for business and he knows it.
