I must say, this doesn't make sense to me. Everybody is under a threat at this time, and the moment he thought something might be wrong, instead of warning Lith or at least advising children to go back or move closer to the center of protections, captain does neither and practically leaves children to be bait

I don't think this is vastor. A blue robed man, but before that it also said it was all going according to the blue robed man's plan. So, I'm guessing the blue robed man is the balkor copycat, and he plans use the yevhal kids to get Kamilla or her sister (since he had actually sent them a card a long time ago).
