What I really don't get, is why the council would even leave a lich in charge of this, like I don't expect them to be all wise and smart, but putting a lich in charge of this is just plain negligence, the loves of all those students are all responsibility of the council not Vareen.

Of course things wouldnt be as simple as dealing with a single abomination, it had to be one that creates a form of plauge. i wonder how lith will interact with the victims of the plauge considering how similar their condition is to how his was. he may just end up saving a large number of the awakened in the city. that is of course if anyone can make it to a safe place to perform treatment.

Isn't the council too relaxed on the brink of war with Thrud, one traitor among the elders would be enough for Thrud to come here and kill all the disciples. The council elders can stay awake for a week, what prevents these morons from appointing 2-3 people from each race to oversee the trial but not the crazy Lich, the excuse they can not take their minds off the research :fp: In general ridiculous idiotism another ancient and powerful organization for the sake of the plot

Really interesting the ability that abomination uses, what if lith can do something similar by sharing his blood with someone and giving them demonic traits and powers trough it? ("do you want power?" it sounds fitting for a demon) So nice to see kulah's spore back even so briefly i hope he survives the clash.
