My reaction after reading the first chapter: who is this clown? My reaction after reading this chapter: so the clown works for derius and night? Excellent, lets see him die and then get on with the bloody work of avenging qyullas death by exterminating both of them and thier followers. hopefully with the aid of everyone present for the assasination. On a different note, kamila is in danger. Lith might be enraged and distracted, but i doubt that anyone will expect him to finish off the murdered magus so fast and with his instincts i bet lith will either run to try and save whats left of quylla (arise, anybody?) or go straight to kamila to rofl stomp derius into a curb when he tries to make a move there.
Am I the only one that over the interesting fight against another lost magus I'm also hoping lith gets his equipment to have enough adamant for a full sized armor? Also while he is one of night's chosen she is unable to even indirectly harm lith (she couldn't even tell Orphal how dangerous were the arrays in his house when he visited) so this whole plot and the balkor cards are just the way of an undead madman to carry out a "revenge" against the kingdom by attacking people that barely had anything to do with it just by riding on the waves of everyone there try to kill each other. I can see why he became a chosen for night, this guy is on Orphal's level of tantrum throwing madness, his targets barely makes sense(Mirim aside maybe) just like his animosity against lith and the others he killed, he couldn't be found out because his motives are too random for any to suspect him.
