Legion20
I know that it is out of context, but isn’t it weird that Lith’s parents didn’t have any more children after him, I mean, both his parents are still young and live in a world without any means of birth control and even with they could chose why wouldn’t they want to have other children? Most of their children left home and now they can easily afford having a new child. Wouldn’t it be interesting seeing how Lith would interact with a new brother???
I'm starting to get bored of all this manipulation and hypocrisy. When it happens occasionally it shows the flawed but functional nature of human beings that allow society and interpersonal relationships to work. Every character that can directly affect Lith's life seems to feel the need to manipulate everyone around them, the queen, Scarlett, Jirni, even Protector, and if she follows the plan Solus as well. On top of that Lith is too weak to do anything to stop it. The writing is spot on and I can see why everyone loves Jirni, even I think she is awesome as the first character to not judge Lith to be a monster, but when everybody kicks Lith into the dirt and he can do nothing about it over and over it loses all meaning to see it. At this point Lith ha basically never really won. All his victories were meaningless in his overall journey or prove he was right in hating humanity and wishing to discard attachments like family. If Lith is told Protector is dead and doesn't self destruct and come to hate the world and everything else it would be the least believable reaction I could imagine. All people have a breaking point, if Lith doesn't snap after everything that has happened to him, then I doubt anything could break him and he truly is a monster. No amount of family or friends would be able to stop it when someone like Lith snaps, eventually the problem is too big to fix with kind words and hugs.
