Ugh boring explosive devices and failures for this super boring profession side plot. Soooo bored with crafting. Let the dude do some actual magic or something. How many chapters have we spent on magic devices already? Jesus.... they don’t even do anything useful for him as they’re all tools to be a mask for his true magic. Why do we even waste time on them? He’s spent so much time on this instead of actually using magic and hunting or doing adventurous things. Wasn’t he supposed to figure out the boxes? Where the heck did that plot go? It’s been missing for over 10 chapters at least. I feel like this profession side plot has just gone too long and it’s taking away from the better parts of the story like the relationships and actual magic. Here we are with at least the next chapter being about stupid magic forging made up jargon instead of any progress. -___- so disappointed.
I think I just realized who solus is, the scorpicore said that cursed items either were imprinted with someones mind and ability, or had their soul trapped. I think that solus was created by a very powerful sorceress to pass on her knowledge to others after her death, the same one who created modern magic, lochra silverwing. after all, the tower that is solus was in griffon kingdom from the beginning, meaning that the tower must have been created there, it's female, has a very good innate understanding of magic, no memories of her life before lith, and yet can understand just about anything related to magic within minutes of coming in contact with it, it would only make sense, otherwise it's another character of high importance, the we've yet to see. And being far away from the capital, it would probably be safe from those in the capital that would try to exploit solus
