I feel like their evaluation is too cautious. While WE (a readers) know that they are correct to worry about him, I don't think powerful people like them would really worry about a kid - no matter how gifted or how evil he is. They're probably think that even if he grew up to be immensely powerful he was just one individual and they were the state. Besides they are already roping him in and he hasn't given any real reason for them to worry about betraying them.

Legion20 none of us want to see you burn out you don't have to be sorry for being late almost all of us readers care more about your writing and good health than it's release date the people who want more chapter do so because it's such a good story. You bring joy with every new chapter that isn't something to apologise for

I think with her insight she could be able to tell that his interests lie in magical knowledge and his family. This would give them a way to reward and control him better. He'd still be a dangerous threat but with their knowledge they'd be able to use him better and avoid him causing calamity.

Both Queen and Marchioness don't know some details, like how many times Lith was targeted because of Queen actions. Fact that his targeted family member was the one he did not care about was just a lucky pick. I can see Marchioness snooping around grandly, but still, don't know quite a much about him.
