You'd think that despite the ex-headmaster not being able to get status by going to another country that she would still go if it is such an open secret about her being killed. There are probably several people who might tell her as she is still a strong magician or spies who might do it as well. At first I thought her disappearance was gonna be her sent to some hermitage where she'd be able to get some benefits and at least not be looked down upon... maybe called upon in times of war... seems a bit of a waste (from a country perspective)
