This mc has a serious problem in his head. He complains in his previous life that he's alone, yet he's the one who let his father die. He complains about dying of cancer but he's the one who chose to work on chemical plant for years. And complains on many more things that is utterly because of his poor life choices.
Leave his only remaining brother alone and in debt, he didnt know he had cancer in the beginning but when he found out he said **** it to help his brother because he felt he was ****ed anyways. im not 100% sure since this was months ago but i think this is along those lines
Daoist_Red_Reads:Bro, you just destroyed yourself. The mc complained he was alone, but whats this!? He kept working for his little brother. If he wanted to not have cancer then why not just leave the brother in debt? The mc here is immature, no matter how the author tries to make it otherwise. He is edgy and immature since Orphel is a kid, it is easy for dumb kids to get rid of a grudge(for someone like Orphel at least)
also, Author. I get how MC, a reincarnated old man in the body of a child can have such deep thoughts, feelings, resentments. But a 6yo? and 8yo? dude. they are still developing mentally. Still have short attention spans, easily swayed emotions. So this, calculated resentment and animosity between the MC and his two brothers feels insane.
Lith is one of the worst cases a MC thinking they are some unfeeling sociopath when they’re just a childish jerk, he doesn’t want to deal with a dysfunctional family? He’s literally the main reason the family is dysfunctional, you can’t just **** on the floor and then say cleaning it is not your problem
Lith resenting Orpal is kind of annoying. Lith was a full grown ***** in his previous life—his memories are intact. Orpal is a child. People will change a lot as they go through the different developmental stages, but it appears as if Lith has already written Orpal off. Lith is being an idiot. This is not a good look for Lith.
Something that I've always thought interesting in these other world stories, they always use the same base 10 number system. I know that it is because it makes it simpler to write, but in reality, there is no reason for an alien civilization to use the same base as us. For those that might not know, it is basically what the numbers count up to before restarting. 0-9 for base 10. 0 and 1 for base 2 (also what machine language uses,) 0-15 for base 16, and so on.
