Damien and ester's heart corrupted for the same reason I Belive ...because they both encountered gore at a very small age.....somewhere now I feel sorry for baby ester. She had to se all that injustice at that age😟

As I remember Isabel die at first because on of greedy councilman and because of the body her husband die now another f*cking greedy councilman was responsible of Ester parents and turning her to an evil black witch b*tch that means he also responsible of all this bad thing that happened in the series

How ironic that the council is there to maintain the balance between the lands yet it is because of the councilmen that there's hatred between different creatures

Compared to black witches, it seems white witches cannot do anything - including defending themselves.

Why suddenly we have compassion for the character we hated for 3 books now?!!

*sigh* so sad .. Due to some greedy people many many many innocent died including Alex's parents .. 😑

I Am readiNg the books out of order. Will that affect my understanding? I started with The Crown’s Obsession becaise it was recommended to me. I am still reading it as ot is ongoing, and I also started this book.
