Sorry, I found this slapstick comedy distasteful, especially after such an effort to set the emotional mood earlier in the chapter. The behavior of both the FL and brother-in-law was so not funny. The confession would have been romantic and revealing, instead it completely turned me off of both FL and brother-in-law. Makes me wish the FL had a better mate.
