I am both happy and sad for him. His change of mindset means survival for himself, but will lead him to do cruel things. It will definitely make the story more exciting, though.

It's funny, I was reading the comic version of this on webtoons like a madman and now I get to read the novel version where some things have changed and you get a bit more in-depth description. I'm enjoying both so far.

Omg.. imagine you were one of the guards holding the lever and then you sneezed and pulled the lever by accident killing the prisoner... honestly I feel like there’s no good way to do that besides giving it to someone comfortable taking that on their conscious I think I would be tortured by the possibility of did I or did I not kill that person ? That seems worse than injecting the person yourself and knowing you did it.
