the king is a bad father no matter what he tells himself. he originally wanted Alica to be the concubine and was shielding Victoria from this so please don't pretend you care more about her than the other daughters after treating her coldly and leaving all protection from bullying to your old father in law the general and your little son prince Richard. you are the King and not as powerless as all that, just lazy.

I wonder what will happen when they realize that Alicia uses the Grandcrest sword style instead. I feel like its an important detail since its kind of like someone stealing a technique/skill. Not to mention shes a woman... Regardless In rooting for them!!

to the author: great suspense, keeps the readers wanting more, kudos! to all: the king is as much a snake as his queen and other princesses, this chapter only proved it. I'm ready to see Leon and Alaina win the upcoming war and see the royal snake family severely punished. Except for Richard and Robert, they need saved from the snakes as well.

That explains so much to why he has been the way he has to his daughter!

It was nice to finally see the father’s perspective and some of his reasonings for his actions, and that he actually loved Alicia and her mother.

I knew the king loved her and only was protecting her!!👍
