At first I thought that if he had called out Caihongs name it wouldnt be too bad, but after reading about how devoted and selfless Xinyi was with her love and the fact that she was always there just quietly supporting him, it makes it a bit more heartbreaking. Espesh since this was one time she would have allowed herself to hope and it all crumbled. I understand her conflict with her pregnancy back then coz although her baby would have been made from her love for Zhi, he was also made out of Zhi’s love for someone else. Thats rough buddy 😅

That one moment she just wanted to feel and be loved was shattered. I completely understand why she wanted to have an abortion. Not out of hate but out of sadness. A reminder that he doesn't love her...his heart is filled with someone else so how can she take that place....author my heart hurts for Xinyi. And Zhi you remember the date u slept with her but you don't remember calling another woman's name when ur sleeping with your wife! Tch Tch disappointed in you.....u need to shower her with love with every ounce of your being. She deserves more than what u can give her.

xinyi is the strongest character in this novel .. it's hard for anyone to endure so much pain and wants to release from this but she remains strong and go with the flow and we can see the result! I know it took long for them to finally realize what they exactly want in their life but fruitful till the end .
